Export Manager

Mediq, a leading European provider of medical devices and care solutions to patients and healthcare institutions, is expanding its Sourcing & Trading team and looking for an experienced Export Manag-er with a strong commercial focus. We are looking for someone to join our Export team to be respon-sible for the global expansion of the Mediq Own Brand product portfolio outside Mediq’s key mar-kets.

What are you going to do?

As an Export Manager, you are responsible for expanding our business in the international market. This requires both – working closely with current customers and acquisitions of new customers. Your focus is on expanding our market position and share through the sales of Mediq Own Brands and other established brands. Finding new creative and commercially driven ways into new markets is something you’re skilled in and enjoy doing. Next, you will be responsible for implementing and realizing the sales strategy, sales targets, pricing, and margin improvement projects that need to be managed, monitored, and adjusted where needed. You are a self-starter, result driven, and enjoy traveling to new markets.

What you will further do:

  • Responsible for the export portfolio
  • Developing sales and successfully implementing sales strategies
  • Develop and implement effective account management
  • Maintain and expand the Mediq distributors network on the International Market
  • Create results through successful collaboration with neighboring teams in Mediq like Category management, Sourcing, Finance, Contract & Tender, and Customer service
  • Proactive management of contracts and agreements
  • Analyze financial performance and adjust strategy and action plans accordingly
  • Develop new markets and create opportunities in the international market
  • Lead and set up pricing and margin improvement projects
  • International travel is mandatory
  • The Export Manager reports to the Commercial Director

What is your background?

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international business
  • Fluent in English and either French or Spanish
  • Proven track record in previous commercial export positions
  • Experience within the medical field
  • Excellent sales and account management skills
  • Strong relational skills
  • Self-starter
  • Project management understanding
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and be a team player
