Program & PMO lead Group Category Management

Are you ready for the next challenge? In the role of PMO officer you are responsible for the ensuring progress of all cross-functional and international projects and initiatives within the group category management & Mediq Own Brand scope. Over the last years Mediq has grown fast organically and inorganically. As the company continues to grow, Mediq seeks to create leverage of scale, skill and best practices in its commercial offering. We will strengthen category management for key categories on group level under the leadership of the recently appointed VP Category Management & Mediq Own Brand and we are now building the Group Commercial Category Management team. In this role you will be part of the global team and report directly to VP Category Management & Mediq Own Brand.

What are you going to do?

​You will lead selected large multidisciplinary programs and projects and are responsible for planning and budget. Next to that, you are also responsible for creating support, motivating and facilitating your program team members, managing the risks and managing the expectations of the (internal) customer. Thanks to your efforts, there is an overview, structure and adjustments can be made quickly when necessary.​

In short, you:

  • support in translating strategy into an actionable project calendar, and ensure buy-in with all relevant stakeholders within Mediq​;
  • provide guidance to relevant stakeholders in the development of (both qualitatively and quantitatively well-founded) business cases, project plans, resource management, etc. to secure successful projects;​
  • are overseeing project portfolio consisting of implementation of margin improvement projects, and operational (processes and systems) improvements;
  • are responsible for identifying roadblocks and supporting escalations throughout the clusters to ensure progress;
  • act as project or program manager for large cross-functional / international projects on operational improvements (e.g. master data transformation);​
  • and support and coach project owners in project management and on content​

​Your work location will be any Mediq location across Europe, with some travel between offices​.

What is your background?

  • You have a master’s degree and are an experienced professional, with a strong background of at least 5 years in project management and PMO​.
  • You are aware of project management methods like Prince2, Agile and Lean​
  • You have performance management capabilities and management of key initiatives​ and have the ability to shape an organization and drive implementation of governance in the global organizations​
  • You own communication and change skills ​and have a hands-on and can-do mentality​
  • Fluency in English is a must, proficiency in one or more of the Mediq local languages is a pre.
  • Preferably you already live in a Mediq country.
